Two policemen must join forces to take on an international drug- smuggling gang - one, an unorthodox Irish policeman and the other, a straitlaced FBI agent. Sergeant Gerry Boyle is an eccentric small-town cop with a confrontational and crass personality and a subversive sense of humor. A longtime policeman in County Galway, Boyle is a maverick with his own moral code. He has seen enough of the world to know there isn't much to it and has had plenty of time to think about it. When a fellow police officer disappears and Boyle's small town becomes key to a large drug trafficking investigation, he is forced to at least feign interest when dealing with the humorless FBI agent Wendell Everett assigned to the case.

The Voice of Ireland is the Irish edition of the international TV franchise The Voice, a reality singing competition created by media tycoon John de Mol. The first series began airing from 8 January 2012 on RTÉ One. The coaches originally were Bressie, Sharon Corr, Kian Egan and Brian Kennedy. Kennedy left after the first series and was replaced by Jamelia. After the second series Sharon Corr quit the show owing to other commitments. The show is hosted by Kathryn Thomas and co-hosted by Eoghan McDermott. The series is part of the The Voice franchise and is based on a similar competition format in the Netherlands entitled The Voice of Holland. One of the important premises of the show is the quality of the singing talent. Four coaches, themselves popular performing artists, train the talents in their group and occasionally perform with them. Talents are selected in blind auditions, where the coaches cannot see, but only hear the auditioner. The TV show "blind" auditions were held at the The Helix, and broadcast for the first five weeks of the series. The Battle Phase was broadcast over three weeks from 12 February to 26 February. The winner of the show will be offered a recording contract with Universal Music Ireland worth €100,000.
Ireland AM is an Irish morning television show on TV3. It airs live every weekday morning from 7 to 10 am. The program features news and weather updates, showbiz, fashion, beauty, food, health, home and garden. Its current presenters are Mark Cagney, Sinead Desmond, Aidan Cooney, Alan Hughes and Anna Daly. It was confirmed on August 15, 2013 Ireland AM will now have an additional presenter Anton Savage and the show will now air from 07:00 until 10:45. The show is currently sponsored by P&G, previously sponsored by Unilever and Kellogs.
The Weakest Link was an Irish version of the British quiz show, The Weakest Link. The show was broadcast on TV3 from 2001 and was presented by Eamon Dunphy. It is one of the few times that an international version of the show has been hosted by a man. The producers of the series used the euro as the banking currency. This had the effect of reducing the prize fund as the Irish pound was still in full circulation at the time and the euro would not be issued until January 2002.

Cromwell in Ireland is a two-part RTÉ documentary to be broadcast in September 2008. It is produced by Irish television production company Tile Films and is described as an examination of "that great nemesis of Irish history: Oliver Cromwell". The series stars Owen Roe as Oliver Cromwell, Declan Conlon as Hugh Dubh O'Neill and Catherine Walker as Elizabeth Price. The show's airing coincided with the 350th anniversary of Cromwell's death on 3 September 1658 and will begin on Tuesday 9 September at 22:15 on RTÉ One. It will later be broadcast on the History Channel in November. It is directed by two-time IFTA winning director Maurice Sweeney and presented by the leading historian, Dr Micheál Ó Siochrú. The series consultants included John Morrill, Professor of History at University of Cambridge, Jane Ohlmeyer, Professor of History and Vice Provost at Trinity College, Dublin, Pádraig Lenihan, Lecturer in History at University of Limerick, Nicholas Canny, Professor of History at NUI Galway and Ronald Hutton, Professor of History at University of Bristol. Cromwell in Ireland was commissioned by RTÉ Television in association with The History Channel, supported by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland. It was produced by Tile Films. The series was shot on high definition with large-scale reconstructions combined with CGI, provided by Sue Land and Warren Osbourne of the UK's Red Vision visual effects company, recreating the sieges and battles that took place in that era. Composer and Stellarsound producer, Steve Lynch teamed himself with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra to record the soundtrack for the series.
