Polka Dot Door was a long-running Canadian children's television series produced by the Ontario Education Communications Authority from 1971–1993. PDD was created and developed by a team of employees from TVOntario hired and led by original series producer-director, Peggy Liptrott. Significant contributors to the creation and development of the series in 1971 included Executive Producer Dr. Vera Good who laid the conceptual foundation of the show, Educational Supervisor, Marnie Patrick Roberts, Educational Consultant L. Ted Coneybeare, Script Writers/Composers, Pat Patterson and Dodi Robb, Animator Dick Derhodge and Dr. Ada Scherman, a professor at the prestigious Institute of Child Study in Toronto who was consulted in the early stages of PDD's development and is responsible for giving the show its name. New episodes of PDD originally aired on TVOntario Monday to Friday beginning in the fall of 1971 until the show's cancelation in 1993 with reruns running in constant rotation both on weekdays and weekends well into the 90s.

Guys Next Door is an American television series aired on NBC in the 1990-1991 season as part of its Saturday lineup. The show starred Patrick J. Dancy, Eddie Garcia, Bobby Leslie, Damon Sharpe and Christopher Wolf. Most of the show centered on comedy sketches and spoofs of popular issues at the time, ala Saturday Night Live. They were also a boyband signed to SBK/EMI records with a Billboard Hot 100 single "I've Been Waiting For You" and released the self-titled debut album as well. The Guys still have a dedicated fanbase with several web fan sites and most of the group's music videos from the show posted on YouTube. You can also find some of the various collectible items that were made such as the GND lunchbox, buttons, watches, posters, pajamas, board game and even dolls on eBay from time to time. While Chris Wolf and Bobby Leslie dropped out of the public eye after the show ended, Patrick and Eddie are still active as actors. Damon Sharpe is currently a Grammy award winning music producer and songwriter who has worked with such talents as Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Anastacia, Kelly Rowland, Big Time Rush, New Boyz and Monica.
My Wife Next Door is a BBC sitcom created by Brian Clemens which was written by Richard Waring and was first broadcast in 1972. It ran for 13 episodes and focused on a couple, George Basset and Suzie Basset. Each tries to start afresh after their divorce. They move to the country, only to find that they have moved into adjoining cottages. When the series was repeated in 1979, it gained better ratings than its first outing and topped the BBC1 weekly ratings several times during the repeat run. This was in part due to the ITV strike that limited British viewing to BBC1 and BBC2 for several weeks.
The Magic Door was a Jewish educational television series aimed at providing kiruv to Jewish children in the Chicago, Illinois metropolitan area. The show was produced by the Chicago Board of Rabbis and premiered January 1, 1962. The show ran weekly until January 1, 1982. It aired at 9:00 AM every Sunday morning on WBBM-TV. There were two main theme songs for the Magic Door. The first was based on an Israeli Children's song, "A Room Zoom Zoom". The second - written by Charles Gerber - was set to a melody from Beethoven's "Pastorale" Symphony No. 6: "Open, come open the Magic Door with me, / With your imagination there's so much we can see. / There is a doorway that leads to a place. / I'll find my way by the smile on your face." The main characters of the series included "Tiny Tov" and his cousin "Tina Tova". Tiny lived in a house that was made out of an acorn, the entrance was "The Magic Door". In addition to Tiny and Tina, there were other puppet characters including: Boobie Beaver, Icky Witch, Rabbi and Mrs moreh, Max the Mailbox, Rumplemyer Dragon, Bunny Rabbit, Buddy, Worthington Warlock, and many others. Before he would enter the dwelling, Tiny would sing a tune whose lyrics went,"Ah room zoom zoom, ah room zoom zoom, gily gily gily gily gily a sa sa. Come through the Magic Door with me, just say these words and wondrous things you'll see" .....and Tiny would be in the town of "Torahville".
