Manga creator Satoshi Mizukami (Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, Spirit Circle) announced a new original mecha anime and manga project titled Planet With on Friday. Mizukami said that the project is based on a concept he began working on four years ago, and that he has drawn 1,074 pages of manga storyboards for the project.

In February 2009, Mother Nature Network began airing episodes and unreleased footage of Captain Planet and the Planeteers on its website. The series was originally produced by C.O.R.E. in Toronto, but production moved to Bardel Entertainment in Vancouver after C.O.R.E shut its doors. Planet Sheen premiered on Nickelodeon on October 2, 2010 in the United States. The pilot episode was attached to a Fanboy and Chum Chum DVD.
